Senior QA Consultant

Role: Senior QA Consultant
Type: Permanent
Location: Primarily remote with limited client visits as required
Salary: £70k-80k depending on experience

Responsibilities:

Manage the delivery of client Test and Quality Assurance strategies, ensuring product and delivery quality.
Provide strategic direction, mentoring, and coaching to the T&QA team, ensuring successful delivery of QA services.
Oversee QA environments and releases across all products, collaborating with the Environment Delivery team and DevOps.
Ensure all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning, execution, and issue tracking.
Lead the development and maintenance of automated scenarios and frameworks based on industry best practices.

Essential Skills:

Testing and QA Management experience across multiple projects, including management of off-shore and in-house resources.
Proven leadership in shaping company QA strategy, policy, and process.
Strong technical QA skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, in an agile, continuous delivery environment.
Excellent communication skills to ensure T&QA vision is understood and implemented correctly.
Advocate of Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement, and industry Best Practices.
Proficiency in Risk Management, Risk Identification, and Risk-Based Testing.
Experience managing testing departments, independent test service providers, or testing functions.
Management and control of financial budgets in line with demand from Programs and Projects.
Flexible, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
Strong leadership, motivational, and team-building skills.
Excellent communicator, with influencing and negotiation skills.
Building and maintaining relationships within the organisation and with 3rd party suppliers.
Ability to plan, prioritise, and handle conflict effectively.
Ability to implement and direct quality assurance principles.
